Nice to be here G, been playing TFR for 2 days.... damn, they are going to ruin this game. Action points regen slow, for everything i want to do i need to pay something to use it a few times. Ingame help is useless, nothing explains nothing. And from a TFL tapfest that lasts for hours, TFR is gonna be a game you play for a few minutes every half a day. Still busting my head on how to use Rarity up gems, since nothing is said about them, does card need to be max level, do i need to max cards before i upgrade to a next star...why do they complicate crap so much.

Still busting my head on how to use Rarity up gems, since nothing is said about them, does card need to be max level, do i need to max cards before i upgrade to a next star...why do they complicate crap so much. Rarity up gems are used in conjunction with Cyberkeys (which you can acquire in three ways: one at a time from various missions or combiner battles, a few at a time from the "black market," or a chunk at once from extra copies of cards). You need 5 keys to raise a D card one chevron, 10 for C, 15 for B, 20 for A and 30 for S. I have no SS cards so I don't know there. You can do it any time you have the keys and gems. The star level can only be raised after the character reaches certain level thresholds. As starmetal is sometimes difficult to acquire and promotion tends to be expensive, you'll have to be wise with that upgrade. As YOU go up levels, the list of things you can do increases greatly. My account (on the English beta server) is over level 50, so that "few minutes every half a day" gets longer and longer, to the point where it's quite time-intensive. The fact that some events only happen at certain times adds to the issues.

Tnx for info G. Game has potential, if they dont turn it into a cash cow for every action or stay a free player and pull your hair out. On the note of timing for events, didnt see one yet, but recharge chamber is pissing me off. Says 12:00-14:00, and it even has a exclamation mark on itself, and i cant get it to work. Not to mention, there is no ingame clock. So what 12:00-14:00 do they mean? Always says try again later, and then the time runs out and i lost 12 ap....frustrating as hell. Also, camp is only way to get exp for bots? Or something more unlocks later?

The two "timing events" are the recharge chamber and the World Boss (Quintesson) which unlocks... eventually? I forget when. As far as getting the timing right, it's in Shanghai time. If you can't get the Recharge Chamber to work normally (12:00-14:00 and 20:00-22:00) at its prescribed times... you may have to reset your device clock TO Shanghai time... pretty much as long as you're using it. The World Boss is available for beatings at 12:30-13:00 and 20:30-21:00. One of the nice things about the Chamber (unless this was fixed) is that you can use it to go over 48 AP temporarily. I'll explain the World Boss when you get there. Yes, campaign is the only way to get XP, not just for your bots, but for yourself as well. Note that each campaign event has three levels; the second level is unlocked after you three-star the entire first level of an episode, and the third level unlocks when you three-star the entire second level. I missed this initially. I'm very cynical about mobile gaming in general at this time. I just feel like TFR is a more complicated TFL without episodes but with other stuff to make you want to spend and/or die of boredom from. (Note: The lack of ANY decisions during combat makes me want to die of boredom at this point. It's so frustrating to play a game that's basically ALL FUCKING CUTSCENES, albeit randomized ones.)

True true, and if i have to be a VIP to skip combat or use Sweep i will fucking go mental. Its like SWTOR mmo, where you have to reach lvl 10-15 to be able to run, or pay for a quickbar when you have dozens of attacks and skills so you really need more then 8 slots. I am only lvl 21 now, Kat was 21 yesterday and now he is 25, damned if i know how. Doubt i can jump 4 levels in 1 day. And he almost doubled his deck power, the lack of any good guide for this game is so annoying. On account of stars, i try to 3 star all levels, when normal gets to hard, i go to the start and try elite and then hero. Gotta perfect it all Whats the deal with some pieces i get in camp when i win, its like a piece of the ability but i cant find it in inventory or how many pieces i need to make a full ability? And do i need to max a card before i make it a star higher, or does a promote give it max stats?

In other battles, you can only skip after 5-6 attacks have passed. (In this sense, TFR < TFL.) The weapon pieces can be fought for and completed in Ability Compete. Use Promote to give your cards stars. Promotion is limited by card level.

Yup, i figured that out. I meant if i have to buy VIP to use skip it's a ripoff. What i meant on cards, promote gives them a star and stat boost, but what about develop? Are those overall stats, or to get max out of it, do i need to max it all before i promote a card? Went balls deep, ranked 24th on world boss on first try in some 10 minutes of play. Found a bug in translation on arena, it says 20 cybers to merge Hound, but its actually 30 So i am one rank away from it.

I haven't seen this TFR yet, but from the way you all are talking about it, it seems like you need a PhD to figure it out!

You don't have to take the changes but make sure you accept the ones you want! Honestly, it doesn't seem to matter in which order all these stat boosts are done. Even the evolution works proportionally. Keep in mind the amount you can boost stats in develop increases with every level, star, and evolution chevron.

garison88Well, you arent that far from it. Its a clusterfuck of options and upgrades and different resources. And ingame explanations are not worth reading. @goc Yeah, i was wandering if i should develop a bot first to max stats and then Promote. Or just promote and then develop since promote just gives a star and boost some stats so in the end its not a one way fuckup like MTM in TFL. Goddamn i hate games with no faq or at least instructions. Proud owner of Devastator as of few mins ago. His stats should be kinda a sum of all parts if i am not wrong? So 6 bots with 20k each should give Devastator 120k, or...?

So 6 bots with 20k each should give Devastator 120k, or...? Develop and Promote are effectively independent of each other, other than Promoting a bot gives you more "room" to use Develop. Congrats on Devastator. Level, evolution and stars seem to be some sort of average of the parts. Not sure how the stats are worked out. Be advised that, while you cannot equip Devastator with anything, equipping the parts with the stat booster items (right hand side, weapon/armor/speed items) will improve the gestalt form. garison88 - B's description is accurate. I didn't contribute much to the help files; I did a lot of my work on the weapons, campaign, and synergies, and I was instrumental in separating the Evolve/Develop/Promote terminology (including items used for each). I created a thread for our English-beta discussion: darkknightsmagic.proboards.com/thread/28/tfr-thread-rising

Aaaah, that explains a lot. Guess leveling gestalts is a way to go for a while.
And aside translations, they need to make the talk font smaller. Sometimes the text is just outside the text box with a line or 2. And had a lol moment, autobots saying its say to see Cybertron like this, and the level is a forest on earth :)But since camp levels are completely random layout. i expect a lot of fuckups there.
P.S. - they managed to misspell Devastator. They wrote Davastator.

Enjoying TF:R right now... 4 days and level 38 so far. Just completed Devastator today... but feel I have too much invested in my top 6 right now to make the switch at the moment! Will experiment with levelling him.
IGN is same (topherdrew76) so feel free to add me!

I tried to level him, he might be strong when on max lvl, but he dies like a fly. And i would rather take 3 bots then 1 combiner right now. And noticed that exp is awarded differently to him. On a level that gives 300 exp, on win i got 170 when Devastator was in the deck. Put him out, and back to old full exp. And i went balls deep, spent 900 creds and pulled Prowl on 300 bridge (well, it was guaranteed) and i am happy it wasnt a duplicate card

From what I read here, TFR sounds like a pain to play right now... Anyway, I can't get it to work so it's sealed
